53-year-old Man In Court For Allegedly Molesting A 2-year-old Girl

A 53-year-old security man, Daniel Kura, of Aunty Alice, Mararaba, has been remanded in prison by an Upper Court in Maraba, Nasarawa State, for allegedly molesting a two-year old girl.
Police prosecutor, Mr Stephen Kwaza, told the court that the matter was reported by the victim’s father at Sani Abacha Police Station on April 1.
According to Kwaza, the accused deceived the minor and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her on Monday. He said the offence contravened provisions of the Penal Code.

The prosecutor also objected to the court granting bail to the accused because the matter was still under investigation.
Kwaza said the allegation against the accused was not a bailable offence, more so, the victim was undergoing treatment.
Kura however pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Mr Vincent Gwahemba ordered that the accused be remanded in prison and adjourned the case to April 29 for further mention.
